Lyrics
There are times when inside I’m feeling down and so sad,
Times when I’m feeling so blue,
And though it helps me to feel it and work it all through,
You know there’s something else I’ve learned to do.
It’s good to reach out and touch a friend,
So good to reach out and touch a friend,
It’s good to reach out and touch a friend,
It helps to share what I feel with a friend.
And there are times when inside I’m feeling warm, oh so good,
I want to clap and sing out and shout,
So glad to be alive, feel the sun shining through,
Can’t keep it in, got to spread it about.
It’s good to reach out and touch a friend,
So good to reach out and touch a friend,
It’s good to reach out and touch a friend,
I love to share what I feel with a friend.
Reach out and touch a friend,
So good to reach out and touch a friend,
It’s good to reach out and touch a friend,
I love to share what I feel with a friend,
I love to share what I feel with a friend.
I wrote this song to raise awareness in children to recognize their feelings and how good they will feel if they reach out and share their feelings with people they trust, instead of bottling feelings inside.
